The City of Hillsboro is governed by a five-member city commission, with the commission’s president serving as the city’s mayor. The city commission is responsible for enacting ordinances and resolutions for the city.
Hillsboro’s City Hall, located at 19 S. Main St., houses the city commission chambers as well as the offices of the full-time auditor and deputy auditor.
