Veterinarian to open shop in Hillsboro

A rural Gardner, N.D., man plans to open a veterinarian’s office in Hillsboro on the west side of Highway 81, possibly within the next four weeks.
Walden Veterinary Service owner Scott Walden said he hopes to toss open his doors by mid-October at 215 1st St. E. at the site of the former Spiral Light Candle factory.
“There’s a need for a veterinarian up there in Hillsboro,” said Walden, reached by phone Wednesday. “This seems like a good opportunity for me.”
Walden, 58, has an extensive background caring for animals big and small.
