Members of the Traill County Economic Development Commission on Jan. 17 gave a collective thumbs-up to the possible arrival of a natural gas pipeline in the county.
Greg Palmer, chief executive officer of Dakota Natural Gas, announced earlier this month that the company plans to build a natural gas pipeline stretching from Beltrami, Minn. to Hillsboro by 2020 or 2021.
The news received rave reviews from Traill County’s top economic board, which has been attempting to lure a natural gas provider to the area for the better part of a decade.
TCEDC Executive Director Jim Murphy shared more details Jan. 17 about his office’s behind-the-scenes talks with Palmer prior to the public announcement by Dakota Natural Gas to come to Hillsboro.
