Administrators in the Hillsboro and Central Valley school districts are studying the creation of a school-sponsored esports team.
But don’t expect a Burros video game team to pop up overnight.
The club’s first practice remains more than a fortnight away.
Hillsboro Public Schools Superintendent Paula Suda said Tuesday that 12 to 20 schools in the state are considering forming esports teams.
If talks progress, it’s possible an esports state tournament sanctioned by the North Dakota High School Activities Association could be held by 2020-21, she said.
